If you offend someone, then you are responsible for the offending. And...by hypothetical syllogism:

If you are responsible for the offending, then you have sinned through your offense.

If you have sinned through your offense, then you must confess your sins.

If you confess your sins, then you will be absolved through penance.

If you are absolved through penance, then you must sin no more.

If you sin no more, then you will be saved.

Therefore, if you offend someone, you will be saved.

If this sounds like moral schizophrenia, that's because it is. Perfectly valid, but totally unsound, this gospel according to American Liberalism is the 'be nice' secular religion. There's plenty of sin and salvation to go around for everyone. After all, just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right. Remember, no cross, no crown. Want to test your liberal holiness?

Question: Would it be an instance of 'cultural misappropriation', and therefore a sin against liberalism, if you are a U.S border guard who is thinking about Mexican food while he/she is arresting an illegal alien who is Canadian?

Answer: Yes...and you need to go to confession.

Confession is good for the soul. But forgiveness only follows from a sincere act of contrition. So here we go. Time for confession with true contrition leading to absolution and forgiveness. There's supposed to be a resolve to 'sin-no-more', but that's pushing it a little bit too far considering the unavoidable nature of our sins. And exactly what is our sin? We all offend someone, just on different topics!

Now, it's not as bad as it sounds. So, before we get into reciting our offenses a few American Liberalism theological distinctions are necessary. First, there's sin and then there's sin. Not all sins are equally evil. Some are quite mild and we call them venial offenses. Some are deadly serious and we call them mortal offenses.

Second, while there are many specific liberal dogmas on a wide variety of issues, there is only one central dogma: Postmodern, cultural relativistic, global socialist, atheistic liberalism is the one, true, progressive, secular religion. The corollary states that; It is holy to destroy anyone who opposes American liberalism...by any means practical.

Now for the sins that offend liberals with the dispensations American Liberals decree for themselves. That's another corollary; American Liberals are incapable of sin...by definition. Theology is a matter of prevailing definitions. Just stay with me.

Venial Sins: Words That Offend

It's not just the N***** word or the F** word etc. Any word beginning with any letter can be, and soon will be, decreed 'offensive' by the College of American Liberal Cardinals. There are, of course, exceptions. President Lyndon Baines Johnson, thought to be a devout liberal since signing the Civil Rights Act of 1964, was a rabid racist tossing the word 'nigga' around quite casually at every opportunity. So, offending is not about the words themselves or even who is using them. It's that American liberals have the exclusive right to coerce the majority of the population to self-censor their vocabulary just as you did when you read the **** words above.

Liberals are cool because they are better people due to their religion. While getting beaten and tear-gassed in front of the Justice Department in 1969 protesting the Vietnam war, I too felt superior because was a 'liberal'. When I grew up, I got over it.

Today, it's very different. Liberals, in fact, control your mind not to say these words even though they cannot prohibit you thinking them. And you do think them don't you? Thinking the C*** word is a venial sin, saying it is a mortal sin...except if you're a liberal. Curiously enough, if you are a liberal habitual user of these words and you suddenly declare you are no longer a liberal, then and only then all your previous usage would automatically become sins. I know, theology is hard to follow sometimes so stick with me.

John F. Kennedy, Scoop Jackson, and Jean Kirkpatrick were all considered 'liberal' American politicians in their day. Today they would be regarded as 'conservatives'. What happened? A shift in American liberal theology. Certainly during their day the central belief of American liberal's religion was the unalterable sanctity of the First Amendment. But by the end of the 20th-century liberal religion in the form of feminism advocated laws against pornography. Liberal civil rights saints began demanding punishment for 'hate speech', 'racial and homosexual slurs' even any speech that opposed minority advocacy. Professors Owen Fiss at Yale and Cass Sustein at the University of Chicago Law School began demanding repression of the speech for some (non-liberals) was justified to allow the speech for others (liberals).

Their lap-dog students began shutting down lectures preventing conservative voices being heard on campuses across the country. All this happens to the cheers of the liberal media that had long ago gave up any pretense to 'objective' journalism. Postmodern liberal theology bans objectivity as both impossible and undesirable in the view of Noam Chomsky one of their Cardinals. When you point out the inherent self-contradiction to this idea they simply change the topic to marauding cops and homosexual wedding cakes. Contradictions are overruled by faith in the ultimate belief that anything liberal is 'on the right side of history'. A strange notion to hear from postmoderns that there exists a 'right' side of anything, but liberal theology is full of contradictions.

Using liberal scrotal recall, Al Cardinal Sharpton and Michael Cardinal Moore go way beyond ending the First Amendment's protection of free speech in campaign spending, literature, art, education, religion and entertainment. They preach the end of private property rights; using racial quotas to quantify equal opportunity, equal pay, redefine marriage, and eliminating all legal standards for immigration and voting to produce a Euro-style welfare state. Naturally, the American Liberal College of Cardinals will determine who gets what through their progressive redistribution of private property.

Mortal Sin:

There is only one theologically recognized mortal sin in the American Liberal Religion's revealed magisterium; The belief that the individual, rather than the collective, holds the balance of moral conscience and social justice. But the only unforgivable sin is to believe that government exists to protect individuals not to rescue every cat stuck in a tree or catch every child before it scrapes its knee. Speaking ex-cathedra (through the chair) as Popes due when they invoke infallibility, Pope Al the First has decreed that individual deniers of his climate change views must be silenced and then 'punished'. Revealed by some Divine outstretched hand, any individual who stands in the way of the collective is to be crushed. Shredding the U.S. Constitution is merely the beginning of combating this mortal sin.

A new Liberal world order will follow the second coming of Goddess Rachel Carson. Fittingly, his holiness, Pope Al wrote the introduction to the 1992 edition of her Silent Spring, incanting, "Indeed, Rachel Carson was one of the reasons I became so conscious of the environment and so involved with environmental issues...[she] has had as a much or more effect (sic) on me than any, and perhaps than all of them together." Clearly, the Liberal Pontiff possesses revealed truth from the Goddess.

The real beauty of American Liberal Religion is that anyone can offend them and any one of them can be offended, The only exception is that it is theologically, though not logically, impossible to be offended by other people being offended. This is the Meta-Offended exception axiom. All religions have something akin to this. And by this, we shall be saved.
